19 Oct MINSTER MONSTER MONDAYS!!

As well as being a tour guide for Yorkshire, I also work one day a week at York Minster.   Like many people, I was furloughed for lockdown and returned back there in August.   As we returned, we were greeted by our very own Minster Monster made by some secret squirrel colleagues!  This is mine, she’s called Scout and is the Minster Monster Tour Guide.  

There are all kinds of creatures at the Minster – some you’d expect like doves and eagles but also dragons, wolves, griffins and a whole bunch of cheeky monkeys.  You can find them in stone, wood, on tapestries, some even hide on the furniture!
